  • We do the hauling

How it works

Three steps, usually done in a few days

  1. Send photos

Text a few shots of the boxes and some covers. You do not have to sort or count them first. If you have already looked up values, tell us what you found.

  2. Get an offer

We look through what you have, give you a cash number for the whole collection, and explain how we got there. No pressure to say yes.

  3. We come to you

We drive out, load every box ourselves, and pay you cash before we leave.

What we buy

Every era, from the 1930s to last year

Not sure what you have? The cover price is a quick clue. A 10¢ or 12¢ cover is older than most, and worth showing us first.

Golden Age
1938–1956
10¢ covers. Early superheroes, war, horror, and funny-animal books.
Silver Age
1956–1970
10¢ to 15¢ covers. The start of most heroes people know today.
Bronze Age
1970–1985
15¢ to 75¢ covers. The books a lot of childhood collections are built on.
Copper Age
1985–1991
75¢ to $1 covers. Often bagged, boarded, and stored in long boxes.
Modern
1992–today
Big runs, variants, and graded books in plastic cases.

Bagged or loose, sorted or a mess, one short box or a full storage unit. We take the whole lot so you are not left with the leftovers.

Who you are dealing with

Hi, I'm Nate

Nate, owner of Nate Comics

I have been collecting comics my whole life, and about six years ago I started selling them too. I'm based in San Pedro, California.

What hooked me was hunting down first appearances and then seeing those same characters show up in the movies. I also love rare variants, so if you have any tucked in your boxes, I will know what I am looking at.

You can see what I am buying and finding on Instagram at @nate.comics.

Where we go

Anywhere within two hours of San Pedro

If you are within about a two-hour drive of San Pedro, we will come to you. That covers these areas and plenty more. Not sure if you are in range? Text us your city and we will tell you.

Questions

What sellers ask us

Do I need to sort or list the comics first?

No. Leave them the way they are. Photos of the boxes and a handful of covers are enough for us to get started.

Do you buy the whole collection or only the good ones?

The whole collection. We do not pick out the best books and leave you with the rest.

What if they are in rough shape?

Still send photos. Creases, tears, and missing bags lower the price, but most collections are still worth an offer.

How do I get paid?

Cash, in person, at pickup. You are paid before the boxes leave.

I inherited these and know nothing about comics. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most people who call us are in the same spot. We will tell you what you have and how we got to the number.
